Private Send to X account, Infinex username, or claim link

Send and receive without tying your wallet to your identity.

Send and receive privately

Send privately, with the three ways to address a send: Infinex username, X handle, or link

Private Send is live. You can send to an X account, an Infinex username, or a claim link, with no wallet address exposed on either side. It is powered by Infinex Confidential, built on Confidential Intents from NEAR. This is the first time you can send to another user's Infinex handle.

We have wanted to let you send to another Infinex account for a long time. What stopped us was doxxing. Send to someone's handle the ordinary way and your wallet resolves to theirs, and anyone watching either account can link the two. That link is permanent: one transfer joins two identities onchain for good, whether either of you meant it or not.

Send from your Confidential wallet, and claim into one. Both ends then sit inside Confidential, and neither side's main wallet appears anywhere public. To send from your Confidential wallet, start the send inside the Confidential app.

The mechanism

Pick how you want to send to someone: an X account, an Infinex username, or a bearer claim link. Fund it from your Infinex wallet, an imported wallet, or your Confidential wallet. The funds sit safely until the recipient claims them, and on both sides the activity feed reads Sent privately and Received privately, never an address. With send to X account and send to link, the recipient does not need an Infinex account before you send, but will need one to claim.

To an X account. The funds are only claimable by someone who connects that X handle to their Infinex account, either an existing account or one they create to claim.

To a claim link. Anyone with the link can claim it to their Infinex account, so make sure only the intended recipient receives it.

To an Infinex username. The recipient must already have an account. Check with them that the username is correct before sending. If you know someone's X account but not their Infinex username, send to their X handle instead.

When claiming, the recipient picks where to receive the funds, one of their Infinex wallets or their Confidential wallet. The default is the Confidential wallet.

After receiving into your Confidential wallet you can swap privately to another asset and withdraw it to the chain of your choice, including Bitcoin, XRP, Litecoin, Zcash, EVM and SVM chains.

If nobody claims, the send auto-refunds to the sender within 14 days, and the sender can cancel an unclaimed send at any time.

Currently you can send between $1 and $1,000 per send. These limits will be reviewed over the coming weeks.

Where the privacy comes from

Confidential Intents runs on a private NEAR shard with no public explorer, so a transfer between two Confidential wallets leaves no public transaction history. Deposits into and withdrawals out of a Confidential wallet remain visible on the public blockchain; what is not publicly linkable is the swaps and sends that happen in-between. This is what removed the doxxing problem: neither side is ever shown the other's address, and nothing onchain names the sender and the receiver together.

Private Send is different plumbing from the Incognito Mode we shipped in February, which routed private sends through Houdini Swap, a third-party swap route.
