What is “DeFi Summer”?
Starting on July 23rd, Infinex will launch "DeFi Summer", a three-day promotional campaign celebrating the support of new DeFi assets on the Infinex platform. The campaign will support seventeen new assets, including UNI, LINK, AAVE, SNX, MKR, AERO, VELO, CRV, CVX, ONDO, PENDLE, ENA, ZRO, JUP, RAY, JTO, and W.
During “DeFi Summer”, users who deposit and stake these newly supported DeFi assets will receive a 500% boost on their deposit value, lasting until the end of Craterun. This boost will be calculated and added to your Infinex account based on the deposit value at the end of the three-day campaign. This boost only applies to users who deposited one of the seventeen new assets during this three-day window. Any withdrawals, even of non-DeFi assets, will forfeit your boosts (subject to the amnesty period).
Why a 500% boost?
The 500% boost for users depositing new DeFi assets during DeFi Summer is designed to ensure latecomers have a fair chance at earning rewards as Craterun nears its end. Since participants of DeFi Summer will receive their boosts near the end of Craterun, having a significant boost ensures they are not overly diluted by early depositors. Currently, the average Infinex user who deposited at the start of Craterun has received boosts worth roughly ~8x their initial deposit. This is reflected in the difference between the Total Stakeable Amount and the TVL on Infinex.
What is Craterun?
Craterun is a gamified yield farming campaign designed as a precursor to the Patron NFT sale, Craterun is the last chance for users to farm access to Patron NFTs by depositing supported assets into their Infinex Accounts and earning Crates. These Crates can be opened within the Infinex App to win various prizes including Patron NFTs, Patron Passes, tokens from ecosystem partners and more.
