    Infinex Connect Alpha

The alpha release of Infinex Connect is now available to Patrons. Connect lets you use your Infinex Account like a connected wallet with external apps.

Today we’re shipping an early preview to help us gather feedback from Patrons as we continue to develop Connect.

    Overview of Infinex Connect

We announced Infinex Connect at TOKEN2049 in Dubai—a new way to connect your Infinex account (and your cross-chain portfolio) to third-party apps.

You can catch up on the idea behind Connect by checking out Kain’s TOKEN2049 keynote, and the announcement video.

    What you can do today

    1. Enable Infinex Connect

To enable Connect, you’ll need to complete a short update process which will give you a new wallet address on Ethereum Mainnet and Optimism, and move any assets you might have on those two chains to your new address.

      Please note:

      • only assets on Optimism and Ethereum Mainnet will be migrated as part of this process
      • assets with balances less than $0.50 USD won’t be moved
      • assets never leave your Infinex account
      • assets in your Vaults are not touched as part of this.

You can learn more about this update and why it’s required.

    2. Auto-connect with your Infinex account

When you launch an app from the new “Apps” page, your Infinex Account will auto-connect and you’ll be ready to go.

    3. Use two classic defi apps: Aave and Synthetix Staking

Aave - supply, borrow, and withdraw.

Synthetix Staking - stake SNX and sUSD in the Synthetix 420 pool.

Please note that initially only Ethereum and Optimism are enabled, with additional chains to be supported soon.

    Coming up next

    1. View your Aave and SNX positions in Infinex
    2. Built-in swidge
    3. UX/UI and stability improvements
    4. More apps (including apps on MegaETH, Fogo, and more)

Known issues in this Alpha release

Being an alpha release, there are some rough edges and bugs to be found. Here’s a few to note:

    • The signing popup may get blocked by some browsers. If this happens, please let us know which device/OS/browser you’re using.
    • The mobile experience has some rough edges. We’re working on improvements as we go, but let us know if you come across weird or broken things.
    • You might encounter vague error messages without clear next steps. We’re working on making these better.
    • If something doesn’t work, try refreshing the page and/or re-launching the app. If this doesn’t fix the issue, please let us know so we can investigate.

How to report bugs and share feedback

Please report any issues you encounter, or feedback you’d like to share, directly to your friendly Infinex team in the Secret Patron Cabal Telegram channel.
